The International Chess Federation is an international organization based in Switzerland that connects the various national chess federations and acts as the governing body of international chess competition. It is usually referred to by its French acronym FIDE. FIDE was founded in Paris, France, on July 20, 1924.

Nairobi Chess Academy
The Nairobi Chess Academy & Club is a FIDE endorsed Academy that provides high quality instruction and professionally run competitions for young chess players of all skill levels. Starting from basics, we go on to train and help beginners get an in depth knowledge of the game using the latest teaching methods in order to enhance enjoyment and success. We provide adequate training for all levels from beginners to advanced players that will help students play the game with skills and tact.
Founded by FM/FI/FA Stephen Ouma in the year 2006, the Academy has since expanded and currently has 4 Directors
Any Student can become a competent chess player with the proper program of institution. The comprehensive course created by Nairobi Chess Academy & Club technical team does exactly that, giving each student the precise material they need at every stage of their development.
